I have been to Mountain Tai several times since my first travel  in October 2000.I just entered SDU not longer than a month,October 1st vacation came.So when about six senior high school classmates in Jinan suggested to Mountain Tai in the vacation,they got  hot cheers from everyone.

We hired a microbus from Jinan to Taian with 50 Yuan.We arrived at the foot of Mountain Tai on the afternoon of the first day.The ticket is about 30 Yuan(It’s too long,and I am not sure).We went to the supermarket for a crazy shopping before we got started.We walked along the road around the  mountain with big and small bags.The night come soon.We sang and danced(if it is called “dance”),talking about everyone’s future,without tiredness.

There were seldom tourists and cars on the road that period of time,because the road is built for cars to Gate Zhongtian,about a half of Mountain Tai.And for that reason,we should walk too much long distance than other way,but we have enough time,a whole night.

We take a rest on the bench aside when tired,and walk on.Finally we arrived at Gate Zhongtian at about ten o’clock at night,and there are so many tourists that the road become crowed.So Gate Nantian is our next goal.We can see many foreigners in the crowed,and they get more bigger bags than us.I am puzzled why foreigners always get a big bag on back wherever they are.

More people,more fun.We sing,they sing,and after their singing,our comes.Light from peddlery and tourists looks like a firing dragon along the mountain road.The sidesteps are very narrow,so you must sidle like letter “Z”.It’s boundless darkness around us,and cliff is on your side.

Gate Nantian looks like a little town if you don’t buy anything.A bowl of conjee is saled for 3 Yuan,a incredible high price that time.It’s lucky that we get enough food and drink,although the drink is cold.It gets cold in October for the wind blowing strong on Gate Nantian.We crouched at a lee and play playing cards,Gouji,just for six.

We leave Gate Nantian for Yuhuangding,the highest point of Mountain Tai,for sunrise.We squat on the stones with umbrellas against the strong wind.Waiting and waiting,cold and cold again.The sky becomes a little red in the distance,and everyone cheers with exciting.A little part of red sun comes from the cloud,with the flash of cameras,but the moment of sunrise is very short.We are lucky than some others that go for sunrise and missed,because we get a beautiful sunrise for our first travel to Mountain Tai.

We walk back to the foot at the next morning after we arrived.We missed a lot of famous landscape for our tiredness.I think i am the most tired one among us.I can even not hear and feel anything,just step automatically.The feeling is the sole time in my life until nowadays.

I follow my partners shuttling in Taian Ciry for the bus station.I get asleep deeply after we get on the bus back to Jinan.I think I will not wake up if there is an earthquake,because i am too tired.
